Admission is entirely free. One of the loveliest quiet rooms in Lagos.

Hi, I'm Dani, your host.
By day, I'm an experience curator and creative director, which means my life is a constant hum of moving parts and creative logistics. By choice, I'm a professional "unwinder."
I started this chapter because I realized that in a city as vibrant and loud as Lagos, we rarely give ourselves permission to just be without an agenda. I love the energy of a room full of people, but I also deeply treasure my own headspace. I'm a lover of quiet luxury and a firm believer that creative wellness and reading are essential for the soul.
Think of me as your host who handles the vibes so you can handle your chapters. Whether you're a fellow entrepreneur looking for a "brain break" or someone who just needs a dedicated hour to finally finish that one book, I can't wait to read with you. We keep reading time strictly quiet, with light icebreakers at the very end for anyone who wants to stay back and meet new faces.

I finally finished Half of a Yellow Sun here. I'd been carrying that book around Lagos for months. Something about everyone reading in the same room made me sit with it properly.
I read half of The Divorce by Freida McFadden in one sitting here and nearly forgot where I was. When the quiet hour ended and people started sharing what they were reading, someone described their book in two sentences and I immediately added it to my list. Yes. Alali Studio hosts us; you're welcome (but not required) to order something from the menu.
I'm coming alone, is that weird?+
Not at all. Most people do. We read in silence for the bulk of the session, with light icebreakers at the end for anyone who wants to stay back and meet new faces.
